So I got a chance to check out the night launch yesterday at Kennedy Space Center. Technically, it was early this morning (2:28am), but w/e. I went there with Alfred, Alissa, Yancy, Lucy, Trung, Aaron and some of the Meikai transfer students.
We left around 10pm and arrived 11pm. So lotsa waiting was involved. Thankfully, I was fully prepared for waiting, as I brought my laptop fully equipped w/ dramas to watch. LOL.
As for the shuttle launch itself, it was badass… for 5 seconds… after the shuttle lifted past the low lying clouds, you couldn’t see much of anything except for light. “DARN YOU CLOUDS!” was my quick response to that. Haha.
Pictures: (They’re not as good, as I am not too used to night photography)
