Spring Break Road Trip 2008.

 

So spring break was finally winding down, so I had to think of SOMETHING to do while it lasted. So Key West/Miami sounded good! Kinda last minutely planned, but in the good spirit of road tripping! 

Alfred, Yancy, Takahiro, Kosuke, and Vivian joined me for the adventure. Quang and Victor decided to join last minute, so that added to the group insanity. It was a rough start, leaving at 4pm instead of the intended 2pm. You know us asians and asian timing…

The trip itself was awesome! I hadn’t been there in almost 10 years, so it was almost like everything was new to me. We walked around a bit on Saturday night. Duval St. is a MAD HOUSE at night with crazy drinking running rampant. It might have been that it was also St. Patrick’s day weekend when we went, but I somehow doubt that… The next day, amazement was all around. The island transformed from a scary little town to a tropical paradise that is enough to take anyone’s breath away. There’s SO MANY places to take pictures and lots of places to see. There was no way I could see it all in just one day (we had to leave Sunday…). Which means… there will be ANOTHER trip there sometime later!

Miami was another CRAZY place to visit. We decided to stop by South Beach on the way back to Orlando and man… it really lives up to all the rumor. That’s all i’ll say about that… haha. But the place seems so reminiscent of New York, but w/ more latin flair and much cleaner. I love the night life in Miami and it would be a great place for young people. It makes me kinda wish I moved there instead of Orlando. LOL. There will definitely be another trip there, tho!  I’ve gotta see it during the day.
