This comes every year for me. It’s time again to say goodbye to my apartment and move on… but this time it’s different. I’m also parting ways w/ my best friend, Yancy.
Ever since I moved outta my relative’s house, I’ve been w/ him. I’ve had many good memories w/ him and it sucks that we aren’t gonna be living together anymore. No other person has had as much of an influence on me more than him. I’ve learned a lot from him and I like to believe that he has made me a better person. He’s like the brother I never had and i’m really gonna miss that. It’s just not gonna be the same just visiting, but I wish him the best of luck. I’ll be spending the weekend to move most of my stuff to my cousins’ place for the time being. I gotta find a place before I head to Japan… lol. Wish me the best of luck! XD
Just a random bye bye video: Mariah Carey - Bye Bye
Dear lord, when titans clash… they do it sooo HARD, it’s RAINing from the skies! Colbert openly challenged Rain to once and for all, DANCE OFF! I couldn’t believe I forgot to watch it on TV last night, but YES! RRRRAAAAIIIIINNNNNNN!!!! A dance off of EPIC proportions! (I hope you catch my sarcasm here… lol) Check it out!!! Watch it while you still cannnn!

What is the definition of a friend? Well, I think it’s not someone you just met a couple times. It’s the people that have made an impact on your life. The people that “become a part of you.”
Recently, I’ve had the time to ponder upon this topic… how do you consider people “friends?” It’s the experiences that you share with the person and how much you cherish them in order for you to consider them a friend. It’s the bonds that you create with the person that makes them more special than the average person you meet at school/etc. For me, I’m all about meeting people and creating bonds. I want to look back and think “remember that time when…” Creating bonds w/ people can have a lasting impact on your life. You live for the moments like those that take your breath away. There’s a quote “Your life isn’t measured by the number of breaths you take, it’s measured by the amount of moments that take your breath away.” I want to live my life that way, to enjoy life to the fullest and take advantage of as much as I can before the clock strikes midnight. The friends that become a part of that have a special spot in my heart.
Friend is such a loose term nowadays. It’s become bastardized just like “love” has. To me, to be considered a friend is an honor and to have that honor reduced to basically nothing pains me. It’s all about how many “friends” this or that person has. What does it mean to be “popular?” Is is really all that important in today’s society, with myspace/facebook/xanga/etc? I find it quite hilarious for the people that “collect friends” just to have their friend count higher than others… ridiculous, actually.
In short, no matter how short the meeting, if you’ve created a special bond w/ the person, they will remember you. Meet people and create special memories w/ them. You won’t have any regrets in doing so. “Living life without a regret” that is a phrase to live by…
*This post is dedicated to the friends that have become part of my life. I cherish the moments we meet and I will always remember you*
Here’s the collection of photos I took during this whole time. Well, there’s most of them…
Picasa Web Ablums (the newest one)
Fast forward to after I drop them home —> (Trung, Alfred, and Jonathan came to my house by this time)
It was time to start the endless nite… making all the gifts for the Meikai students we knew. Early in the morning, Alfred and me stopped by Publix to get stuff to make sandwiches and cards for all the students and even earlier, I grabbed a big bag of sand from Clearwater Beach. We decided to fill jars w/ the sand so that they could take a piece of my hometown with them back to Japan (sounds kewl, rite!?). Jonathan decided to compile a DVD w/ a movie he was making and most of the pics that I took during my time w/ them. It took us most of the nite, but we finally finished filling out all the cards, making the DVD and sand jars around 7:45am.
These are the memories and emotions that have been brewing in my mind for the past couple days. This entry is definitely the longest one i’ve written, but it’s also my most heartfelt one, next to my entry to Minju…
Kinda too lazy to write what we did on this trip in detail, so I’ll just write the gist of things. Shopping, Pier, Beach, Food. Good enough? LOL. Altho, I discovered that Yasuko is very photogenic. Maybe a photo-shoot before she goes? Maybe… Anyways, it was a great all-day trip and it’s a shame we didn’t get to spend more time at the beach… check out the gallery link for the pics.
Click here for the gallery! (I had to put these pics in the same gallery as the Kennedy Space Center ones cuz of Flickr’s limitations… sigh… time to find a better image host. Any suggestions?)
So spring break was finally winding down, so I had to think of SOMETHING to do while it lasted. So Key West/Miami sounded good! Kinda last minutely planned, but in the good spirit of road tripping!

My recent life seems to be one of a chauffeur so far… it’s all i’ve been doing for maybe the past two weeks and boy… I guess I at least get outta the house these days, but shoot… it seems to be getting old. Well, we’ll see how it goes.
So I got a chance to check out the night launch yesterday at Kennedy Space Center. Technically, it was early this morning (2:28am), but w/e. I went there with Alfred, Alissa, Yancy, Lucy, Trung, Aaron and some of the Meikai transfer students.
The armada has set sail! Finally got to check out the finished site to my friends’ company and i’m thoroughly impressed. Glad to see the time after the announced delay went to good use. Comparing the site back then and now, it’s sooo much better than before. Lots more to look at, variety wise, and a lot more polished. If you see the site for urself, you’ll see the work that went into the site. We had a little launch countdown at my place and a toast was in order. KOMPAI! THE ARMADA HAS ARRIVED!!!
Check out Twin Armada’s new online clothing store here.

Well this was sorta unexpected… having curry made by the lovely Meikai ladies and some J-dorama to top it off a great night. Other than my voice starting to go away, it was all gravy~.
So Sunday was my first time visiting Kennedy Space Center in maybe 15 years. I don’t really remember much from that time, but this visit was well worth my $20 (woo! student discount!). Using the Meikai students as an excuse to visit, we made our journey there at 10am. Tho, due to us being asian, we were naturally a bit late… Some complications and an hour later, we make it to NASA a little before noon.
First on the tour was the rocket garden. Pretty self explanatory, it’s quite literally a garden of rockets. lol. Got some kewl pics out of that and by the time that was done, the Meikai students were hungry… so off it is to eat. I didn’t get anything cuz I didn’t wanna get ripped off by the outrageous tourist food prices. So I did what any poor college student would do, stare at others eating… haha.
So after that comes to an end, it’s off to the bus tour (2 hour tour!!!). The wasn’t as bad as initially thought. It took you beyond what was possible. You get to see the launch pad from the closest you can get! Then you also get to see a GIGANTIC Saturn V rocket! Pretty freakin amazing. It’s moments like this that make you proud to be American. There was also an exhibit on the International Space Station and the future of that.
I guess what made the trip more worth it was that we got to show part of our American history/heritage with people not familiar w/ American culture and history. Enlightening minds and broadening horizons is something I feel should always be done and I think we accomplished that today.

Looks like this hotness(in this case, the phone…) was shown at a joint press conference between TV Tokyo, Softbank, and Toshiba. This is a kit given with the phone that you glue to the back of the handset. In fact this very phone is part of a new TV program for teenagers called “Ketai Sousakan 7,” which will air soon in Japan. An anime about transforming cell phones!? Sounds like a recipe for success! (I hope u picked up my sarcasm by now…) *Source: Akihabaranews
So I had the random opportunity to check out one of these fabled, Uberbot “release parties” for the new Dunny series that came out this past Thursday. I was quite surprised by the amount of people at the event. I was oblivious to the amount of people that actually collected these funny looking vinyl figures.
If you don’t know, the Dunny is a funny looking rabbit-like looking vinyl figure that various artists use as a canvas to express themselves. They are put into a collection and sold as a “series.” Kid Robot, the maker of dunnies, must be makin the “munny” today. lol.
It’s just crazy what kinda people you would find at these events. I just thought there’d be a whole buncha little kids huddled around, like the YuGiOh fad of way back when. Surprisingly, old and young alike collect and trade among each other.I’m just glad i’m not too into the whole Dunny thing. I’m afraid I my wallet would always be empty…
Next time you’re reaching down for that iPod or Zune (or anything else for that matter), take care that you don’t alarm the authorities with any suspicious movements — or you could end up like the UK’s Darren Nixon. Apparently, the mild-mannered mechanic was on his way home from work when the Bobbies surrounded him and drew their guns, believing that the MP3 player in his pocket was a firearm. According to the Daily Mail, Mr. Nixon was tracked on CCTV, arrested at gunpoint, swabbed for DNA, fingerprinted, and thrown in a cell — all for listening to a bootleg of Chinese Democracy on a 4GB Philips GoGear. Said Darren, “I was really shocked when I saw the guns. They were pointing them right at me. It was a pretty scary experience. I had no idea what was going on.” After the team of Mentat cops realized their mistake, they couldn’t even offer an apology, said Nixon, “They just dropped me off at home and said a quick ’sorry for any inconvenience’, and that was all I got from them, which I thought was pretty out of order.” Once again, a hot serving of sweet justice.

First of all, I’d like to say HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of the people that celebrate the Chinese New Year. Contrary to belief, this isn’t the new year for us Laos people yet. lol. Our new year isn’t until mid April… butANYWAYS, I just had the thought…
New Years is the time where families reunite and pay their respect to the elders. Does one think of why or how this came about? Maybe to pay homage to the past and for better fortune? Or maybe just to get a lotta money/gifts? lol. I dunno the answer, but the moral of this post is that people should try to better understand their culture. Try to understand the history of why things are the way they are now. Maybe you will attain a better appreciation of your heritage, like I have…
