Sorry for the lack of updates for the past… month and a half? ALOT of stuff happened in the recent times (move to a new apartment and went to Korea/ Japan for a month) and I had NO time to write on the blog or post anything.
About the future of this blog, I sort of lost the main reason I started this blog, but I wanted to keep writing on this blog. So I decided to change the focus of this blog to a more personal journal/ diary type blog. It’s gonna deal more w/ what’s going on in my life and A LITTLE of the music that inspires my life. The blog turned into more of a chore when all I was doing was posting performances/ singles/ albums. I want to refocus this towards something a little more meaningful to me. I’ll start off the new refocused blog in a day or two about my trip to Japan and Korea.
Mainly, this blog is intended for me and my closest friends, but it’s always nice to have others read about ur life.
It’s time to bring back that old school jam! H&MC decided to pay some homage to TM Revolution and remake his Hot Limit song from waaayyyy back when. I liked the original and this song has the H&MC flair to it. I think it’s worth a listen, so check it out! XD DL link and PV after the break.
What is the definition of a friend? Well, I think it’s not someone you just met a couple times. It’s the people that have made an impact on your life. The people that “become a part of you.”
Recently, I’ve had the time to ponder upon this topic… how do you consider people “friends?” It’s the experiences that you share with the person and how much you cherish them in order for you to consider them a friend. It’s the bonds that you create with the person that makes them more special than the average person you meet at school/etc. For me, I’m all about meeting people and creating bonds. I want to look back and think “remember that time when…” Creating bonds w/ people can have a lasting impact on your life. You live for the moments like those that take your breath away. There’s a quote “Your life isn’t measured by the number of breaths you take, it’s measured by the amount of moments that take your breath away.” I want to live my life that way, to enjoy life to the fullest and take advantage of as much as I can before the clock strikes midnight. The friends that become a part of that have a special spot in my heart.
Friend is such a loose term nowadays. It’s become bastardized just like “love” has. To me, to be considered a friend is an honor and to have that honor reduced to basically nothing pains me. It’s all about how many “friends” this or that person has. What does it mean to be “popular?” Is is really all that important in today’s society, with myspace/facebook/xanga/etc? I find it quite hilarious for the people that “collect friends” just to have their friend count higher than others… ridiculous, actually.
In short, no matter how short the meeting, if you’ve created a special bond w/ the person, they will remember you. Meet people and create special memories w/ them. You won’t have any regrets in doing so. “Living life without a regret” that is a phrase to live by…
*This post is dedicated to the friends that have become part of my life. I cherish the moments we meet and I will always remember you*
I got a chance to take a look at an upcoming online clothing boutique setup by two good friends of mine the other day and I have to say, I’m really impressed by what they’ve done so far. For two brothers who just graduated to start a business in a competitive field like clothing, it’s pretty bold of them. Tho, I am fully confident of their success when I look upon what they’ve done so far.
An online clothing store aimed towards the younger generation, Twin Armada sets out to offer fashionable clothing, at an affordable price. By offering clothing online, they are able to cut costs due to there being no physical store to maintain. I’m really excited by some of the designs they offer and their designers look top-notch.
The way that Twin Armada works is that they sign on several designers. Each designer has a contract for a couple months and designs clothing for them. Depending on how their contract is setup, they will receive a portion of the revenue generated by their product. It’s as simple as that. By using this method, the style will stay current and fresh.
I got a chance to help them during one of their photo shoots for the website. Here’s a preview of what they have to offer (I took these pics! ^_^). If you would like to be a model for their website or would like to sign up w/ Twin Armada, feel free to contact me or Quang Nguyen (e-mail).
Their store opens its doors on Feb. 22nd. Be sure to check them out/ give feedback/ etc!
Sometimes, when ur down in the dumps and feeling like shit. It’s nice to know that there are people the look out for you and care for you. People that say that they don’t need friends are lying to themselves and are the ones that really need a good friend.
Meet a friend today and tell them, “I’m glad I know you!”
American Idol Judge Randy Jackson is rocking the screens of MTV with a new competitive group dance series “America’s Best Dance Crew.” The official premier begins on Thursday, February 7 at 10pm ET/PT, but last night was the live two hour casting show.
Each dance crew of five to seven members demonstrated their most innovative choreography, for a chance to compete on the official show. The dance crew that caught my eye was Kaba Modern (Yuri Tag, Tony Tran, Mike Song, Lawrence Kao, Cindy Minowa, Jia Huang) from Orange County, CA. I loved their great isolations, and popping moves. The six member group was in sync at all times with very tight and unique choreography. I especially liked their imitation of loading shotguns for the kill!Kaba Modern members include:
Yuri Tag
“I first started dancing when I was five (because the doctor recommended it to my mom) but I did not start taking it seriously until 2005. That’s when I realized it was my passion.”
Tony Tran
“Mr. Wiggles influenced me. Started dancing in 2003.”
Mike Song
“I started dancing after I saw a bible study teacher at my church popping at one of our church retreats. My dance career started when I entered a talent contest in LA with a group of high school friends.”
Lawrence Kao
“My dancing career started my first year in college. I went to a collegiate scene competition called Vibe and was inspired to become a dancer.”
Cindy Minowa
“As a young girl, I actually wanted to be an actress at first. My father was the one who suggested to have me in dance classes to be well-rounded as an actress. I hated dance my first year, however my mother knew that she had to keep me in classes. My second year is when I started to love dancing.”
Jia Huang
“Started dancing ballet at age ten because my best friend was doing it too.”Here’s a video of them from the live auditions:*Credit goes to Kineda for the article. Click here to visit their blog! *
So I had a chance to visit Lake Mary for the Cars for the Cure car show there. In it’s 4th year now, it seems to be pretty well developed. From Old Corvettes to crazy Bugatti Veyrons, it had the whole spectrum of cars on display.I told Kelvin, if they were to drop a bomb where that place was, there’d be a billion dollar loss. lol. There were so many exotic cars that Porsche looked like the poor man’s car. There was also the random fake Integra Type-R and 350Z as well. Guess the ricers needed to feel rich too. haha.
