Bye Bye.

This comes every year for me. It’s time again to say goodbye to my apartment and move on… but this time it’s different. I’m also parting ways w/ my best friend, Yancy.

Ever since I moved outta my relative’s house, I’ve been w/ him. I’ve had many good memories w/ him and it sucks that we aren’t gonna be living together anymore. No other person has had as much of an influence on me more than him. I’ve learned a lot from him and I like to believe that he has made me a better person. He’s like the brother I never had and i’m really gonna miss that. It’s just not gonna be the same just visiting, but I wish him the best of luck. I’ll be spending the weekend to move most of my stuff to my cousins’ place for the time being. I gotta find a place before I head to Japan… lol. Wish me the best of luck! XD

Memories…

Memories come and go, just like the wind… but some can stick and stay with you for the rest of your life. I randomly stumbled upon an image I thought I lost forever. It brought back some good memories of things I didn’t want to forget. It makes me wonder what else I should be remembering… This was a random post, but I just had to make a post after seeing this image… =( I miss my honey~~

Friends.

What is the definition of a friend? Well, I think it’s not someone you just met a couple times. It’s the people that have made an impact on your life. The people that “become a part of you.”

Recently, I’ve had the time to ponder upon this topic… how do you consider people “friends?” It’s the experiences that you share with the person and how much you cherish them in order for you to consider them a friend. It’s the bonds that you create with the person that makes them more special than the average person you meet at school/etc. For me, I’m all about meeting people and creating bonds. I want to look back and think “remember that time when…” Creating bonds w/ people can have a lasting impact on your life. You live for the moments like those that take your breath away. There’s a quote “Your life isn’t measured by the number of breaths you take, it’s measured by the amount of moments that take your breath away.” I want to live my life that way, to enjoy life to the fullest and take advantage of as much as I can before the clock strikes midnight. The friends that become a part of that have a special spot in my heart.

Friend is such a loose term nowadays. It’s become bastardized just like “love” has. To me, to be considered a friend is an honor and to have that honor reduced to basically nothing pains me. It’s all about how many “friends” this or that person has. What does it mean to be “popular?” Is is really all that important in today’s society, with myspace/facebook/xanga/etc? I find it quite hilarious for the people that “collect friends” just to have their friend count higher than others… ridiculous, actually.

In short, no matter how short the meeting, if you’ve created a special bond w/ the person, they will remember you. Meet people and create special memories w/ them. You won’t have any regrets in doing so. “Living life without a regret” that is a phrase to live by…

The Last Days: Memories w/ Meikai (yr. 2 – pt. 2)

Fast forward to after I drop them home —> (Trung, Alfred, and Jonathan came to my house by this time)

It was time to start the endless nite… making all the gifts for the Meikai students we knew. Early in the morning, Alfred and me stopped by Publix to get stuff to make sandwiches and cards for all the students and even earlier, I grabbed a big bag of sand from Clearwater Beach. We decided to fill jars w/ the sand so that they could take a piece of my hometown with them back to Japan (sounds kewl, rite!?). Jonathan decided to compile a DVD w/ a movie he was making and most of the pics that I took during my time w/ them. It took us most of the nite, but we finally finished filling out all the cards, making the DVD and sand jars around 7:45am.
